JULIANA GOMANI
Juliana is a 38-year-old married woman with two daughters and two sons. As is the common occurrence in Malawi, her husband has been unable to find a job, so they rely on him to find odd jobs where he can. This has left this family of six often without food and the fees necessary to send her children to school. Juliana has waited two years for a slot to open up for her to become a student in the RWYS School for Women, and she is more than willing to walk the two kilometers between her home and the village and the school.
